Nice quiet day of launching last weekend for the October launch day. Numbers were down due to the prospect of poor weather and also the AGM taking place first up. Skies were showing blue at the stat of the day and luckily the wind and rain held off.

There were 12 launches including two L1 attempts: B x 1, C x 4, D x 4, G x 1, H x 2

Highlights:

- Great to Dr Mark back at a launch and effortlessly reclaim the title of most launches at 3
- Scalded Cat award goes to Matt Rolley flying an H999999 (actually only a H222 hybrid) on his certification flight
- Tear Jerker award goes to Matt Feros flying Prospect 2 on a G74: this was a scratch built rocket using a printed carbon airframe and aerodynamic roll control on its maiden flight. Worst of all was that the SD card with the video of the flight was damaged and no footage could be recovered.

Certainly had some punch that one! The accelerometer data actually matched up fairly well to the TMT testing data, it was a slightly more total impulse and slightly shorter burn at 0.79s rather than the quoted 0.85s, but it made it to a bit over 1400 feet, so I may have just overestimated the drag a bit in openrocket.
