In previous years we have run the March and October launch days as advertised launches. These days typically generate excitement from non-members who are interested in rocketry, and we have run BBQs, coffee carts, etc in the past. Due to both covid and the shortage of motors these have dropped off over the past couple of years.

I have been reluctant to run these days without a strong number of high-power motor launches. We have planned these launches many times before and can be ready to run the launch in March. I would like to get an idea of the number of members who would be interested in flying high power motors. Note that I am taking a worst-case scenario approach in planning around the latest motor shipment not arriving in time.

Please let me know if you plan to launch a high-power rocket at the March Advertised Launch, how many launches you plan and what motor classifications you intend flying

Hi Matt, for the next advertised day, whether its this March or October, I'd plan on flying two HPRs - the Tin Tin rocket on either an I140W or an I280DM, and the Starstreak on an H550ST. The prep required for the Starstreak and it's three Darts takes a fair bit of time, so I doubt I'd get a third in. If I did get a third one in, it'd probably be a sparky G on one of my 38mm rockets.

AMRS Level 1 - PML Callisto May19 H100W 3600ft
AMRS/Tripoli Level 2 - 3" AGM33 Pike Aug20 J270W 3300ft
First Airstart - Thales Starstreak Mar22
First Cluster - Banana Republican Jun23 3xE20 1856ft
Impulse tally - 11,019NS since May 2019

If I can get fibreglassing done in time, I should have a 7.5" 3m tall Black Brant VB ready for March.  I have an AT K535 and CTI K360 that /might/ be enough for it getting off the ground?

Sounds awesome, already looking forward to seeing it fly...

As long as you're using both K's in a cluster launch you should be fine to get it off the pad...

Apparently I don't have permission to view private messages sent to me? I've got an email with a link, but it just didn't work.

Well, I go the fibreglass onto the tubes... now I just need to clean up all the messy ends, as I didn't get to it before full cure.  There's still more parts to source/manufacture, so I'm not sure if it will be in a launch ready state in 2 weeks.
