Next Sunday the 9th of February is the monthly scheduled launch morning for QRS at the Cedar Grove launch site from 8am. If you are planning a L1 or L2 certification attempt can you please let the committee know in advance.
Yes, again, we need volunteer with a tow ball to get the rocketry trailer and bring it to site. The trailer carries all the QRS equipment required for launching and without it launching rockets would be challenging. If you can help out (please), drop and email to Matt (@Crom) to organise.
Low power motors will be available from Endeavour Aerospace. Please contact Matt (@Crom) for stock and pricing.
The committee is still in negotiations with Energex over the power lines running alongside the track and car parking. The festive bunting will be set up around the power lines and we politely ask people not to venture into the areas barricaded by the bunting during the launch event.
I am trying to track down the PA setup the club owns for the launch event. While the LCO's have been using a sore throat from shouting as an excuse for a additional medicinal beverage on Sunday evenings, having the correct gear makes running the launches a lot easier. We think the equipment may be with a member for maintenance but we have lost track of who.
Cheers

NOTAM is active.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
Come see me early if you're looking to attempt a certification flight.
Fun day of rocketry yesterday with clear skies, low winds and no flies! Attendees saw 29 launches from the low and high-power pads: A x 3 / B x 5 / C x 8 / D x 6 / E x 2 / F x 3 / G x 1 / I x 1.
Both the highlight and lowlight of the day was Nick Martinesi flying his 4" diameter D.R.M. - Dear Respected Ma'am to 3500 ft on an I59 for his L1 certification attempt. The up part was perfect with the super long burn time on this motor. Unfortunately, things went awry on the second half of the flight. There's always next month!
See you in March.

Hey Matt... Can you show me your level 3 BUILD in full detail and describe the experience?
Sorry, I've only just stumbled across this post... Let me dig out what I can and I'll post here. My L3 proposal document is corrupt now but I should be able to find some of the diagrams.
There are much better projects out there than mine that I've posted to MEGA.

Still battling with my document. I can open in Word through DropBox but none of the images are appearing. I don't use Microsoft Office on my home machine and it wont open in OpenOffice. I've tried copying the contents in Word and pasting into a new document but I'm losing all of the formatting. I do have all of the images so should be able to drop them in once I get a version working...

OK, so my L3 document is just about recovered and I can probably post tomorrow if there is any interest.
As far as the build... I only keep the last few years of pictures / videos on my machine and I suspect that all of my build photos were on the old club OneDrive which is now deactivated. If someone is a OneDrive expert and thinks they can get to the data somehow then let me know...
Happy to talk through the process I went through...
